IPBN Executive Partner Konceptness shared, "The European Mobility Week runs until 22 September — an initiative that invites us to rethink the way we move in cities and the impact that these choices have on the territory and quality of life. At Konceptness, we believe that planning the territory is also thinking about the way people live, cross and relate to it."
IPBN Executive Partner Otonomee is proud to announce that Otonomee is now ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. "Achieving this internationally recognised standard for Information Security Management reflects our continued commitment to protecting information, managing risk, and maintaining robust security and governance practices across our business." Read here what Rafal Rzakowski, Chief Technology Officer at Otonomee has to say about it.
IPBN member Lawler Sustainability asked, "What if building owners didn’t have to buy the heat pump? One of the biggest barriers to decarbonising heating in leased buildings is simple: who pays for it? This is where Heat Pumps on Subscription (HPoS) could offer a different approach. The HP SUBSCRIBE project is exploring how a service-based model could make high-quality heat pump installations more accessible in leased commercial and public buildings."
IPBN member Christopher Garner shared, "Until now, a solar buyer had two things to bid on: the sub ID and the ZIP code. That is not much to go on. It tells you where the lead came from and where the homeowner lives. It tells you nothing about the homeowner. So, we added a third input. Every solar lead from our own funnels now carries a score, built from evidence rather than from us grading our own inventory. What the homeowner tells us: what they spend on electricity, when they want to start, and whether they are already comparing quotes."
IPBN Academic Partner Porto Business School posted, "Understand luxury as culture, language, and experience. Leading the Luxury Business program combines immersive learning, real-world insights, and cross-sector expertise to equip you for high-impact leadership."
And we would like to announce here a mini conference planned for November in Porto about the luxury industry and more particularly about the textile and footwear industries and the opportunities of partnerships with Ireland. Details to be announced later.
IPBN Business Partner Algarve Evolution opened applications for Founder2Founder. They shared, "We will select 8 Algarve-connected companies that already have customers and revenue and are ready to take their next step. IPBN member Barbara Monohan wrote, "In the last few years, I've had the absolute honour of learning under Marty Neumeier, who famously guided Steve Jobs on brand design, on the LEVEL C programme he co-founded with Andy Starr and Sabine Friesser. LEVEL C is a school of masterclasses and critiques in brand and business design. Only a handful of people across the globe, 15 people, have completed all five levels of the training…and I’m one of them!! I'm determined to use this training to help as many businesses as possible in Ireland and further afield build brands that speak to people in ways that grow belief and trust. Thank you, Business Post for sharing my story!"

IPBN member Flow Productions said, "The next business opportunity can start with an AI recommendation. Will your brand be among the options? Your website is one of the pieces of that discovery. The way you present services, explain your specialization and answer the questions of those looking for it helps to make your offer clearer. Find out where your website can improve." Start with the free WebAudit here and check the webinar here we organised with Flow Productions about this exact theme. There, you can access the link to the webinar recording.
IPBN Board member Mario Gago posted, "Pink Hub opened its doors for another open day. Desks, coffee, and a few conversations. It was beautiful seeing so many people from non-tech industries. Coimbra has plenty of people building things who never cross paths. A shared room is one of the fastest ways to fix that. Missed it? Reach out or check the link in the comments."
IPBN Board member Sharon Dehmel asked, "What happens to your experts when the business no longer needs them to do what made them experts? AI is taking on parts of professional work. Automation is removing repetitive tasks. LEAN and process improvement are eliminating errors and unnecessary work. All good things. But there's a people consequence we don't talk about enough. Read more about it here and do connect with Sharon, who is there to answer any questions you might have. The leadership challenge isn't simply preparing people for the future. It's involving them in shaping it."
