The IPBN was at the Web Summit with IPBN members at the City Hall of Lisbon where the Mayor of Lisbon Carlos Moedas welcomed everyone.

The Portuguese Minister of Economy and Maritime Affairs announced at the opening session of Web Summit that the call for the new startup and incubator vouchers (90 M € + 20 M € ), managed by IPBN Partner Start-Up Lisboa and Startup Portugal, will be launched during these next conference days and that government will create a new Startup Law, that will be one of the most competitive in Europe.

IPBN member Upwords is attending Web Summit, which was mentioned by Forbes as “The best technology conference on the planet” and clearly that takes some preparation! Here are five tips to make your presence at this conference easier, more enjoyable, and more profitable! (And that counts for every networking event small or large you might attend.)

IPBN Member Ardanis posted about sustainability and software. Will technology save the future? They said, "How should my business address sustainability? Where do I start? Join an audience of business and technology leaders to learn from an expert panel on how your business is impacted by sustainability and can benefit from sustainable software and sustainable software development. Wed, 16 November 2022, 09:00 – 11:30 GMT in Dublin." Certainly, this is a subject we at the IPBN will look at for our Sustainability conference in March of 2023.

IPBN member StrongStep says that valuedate.io (a company specialized in the development of solutions and services for the field of data engineering and data science) has successfully been achieved. They posted, "It was a pleasure to contribute to this project."

IPBN member Aspira IT says, "The single most important factor affecting the success or failure of a project is the communication ability of the project manager. Highly effective communicators are much more likely to deliver projects on time and within budget."

IPBN member Craftable Software says they are a software house, 99% focused on cloud, with an international presence. IPBN member Mike Rumblehad a fantastic time at the 15th edition of ARTeTUR - International Tourism Film Festival in Ourém and Fátima. There were 281 promotional and documentary films from 33 countries entered, with 87 films getting through to the finals.

IPBN member Sean Moriarty posted a short video to show how Quinta do Lago has progressed over the past 50 years.

IPBN member Pedro Castro Henriques said he loved teaching a class with Professor Teresa Aragonez and her International Marketing, Strategy, and Competitiveness class in the Masters in Competitiveness and Business Development!

IPBN member TE Connectivity just released their results for Q4 and FY22!

IPBN member Bharat Sharma, CEO at Monsoon Consulting will be speaking at the Food, Retail & Hospitality Conference & Exhibition, Sports Ireland Campus, Blanchardstown on the 1st of December, 2022. Bharat will be delivering a speech on "Thinking about eCommerce for your food & drinks supply/distribution business. (B2B)"

IPBN member GRID posted about flexible loans for small businesses. "We are delighted to have become members of Guaranteed Irish. We are very happy to join this community and for our customers to know that they are supporting Irish when doing business with us."

IPBN member KRA Renewables says, "According to a new study from Oslo-based energy research company Rystad Energy, in the long term operating gas-fired power would be ten times more expensive than building new solar PV capacity in Europe."
