IPBN member BRIDGEIN has let us know that Wunderman Thompson, part creative agency, part consultancy and part technology company, is setting up a new centre of excellence in Portugal. By next summer, the company expects to hire 200 new workers for the two centres of excellence it now has in the country.

IPBN Partner Tech Ireland alerted us that five Irish start-up companies have been recommended for more than €20.5m in funding from the first European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator call. The funds are made available under Horizon Europe – the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation.

IPBN Board Member Diogo Cruz from Invest Lisboa says the month of October signalled the return of Invest Lisboa to major international events. Invest Lisboa, for the eight-time, organised Lisboa Stand at EXPO REAL (Messe München), one of the largest international trade fairs dedicated to real estate investment and cities.

IPBN member Vale do Lobo promoted their Friday Oct 29 Night Run. Come and join free of charge the Vale do Lobo charity run event and supports The Algarve Banco Alimentar.

Also, Magdalena, Marketing Director at Vale do Lobo, will be speaking at Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum (R&R) next week, joining a fantastic line-up of industry colleagues for a well-awaited in-person debate. R&R is Europe's only resort-focused investment conference.

IPBN member John Donnelly posted that Satipharm CBD were this week at the UK Pharmacy Show presenting their Clinical Trials and why their Gelpell CBD capsules are 3.5 times more effective than bottled CBD oil.

IPBN member Musicmaker supports today multiple Music Generation projects throughout the country, encouraging a new generation of Irish musicians. This Music Generation programme is generously supported by one of Ireland’s most famous exports: U2!

IPBN member FAmazing shared their Digital Marketing Manager, Luís Palma's article for this month's issue of On Startups magazine, with the theme: "Real Time Marketing" is real. Among other things, it addresses the difficulty that exists in creating good content for social networks, highlighting the importance of analysing the behaviour of followers in relation to shared creations.

IPBN member Bernadette Clancy from Crafters of Ireland was proud to see Orla O'Rourke featured in this month’s issue of Irish American News. Orla, a ceramic designer based in Shangarry Co. Cork Ireland produces a unique range of ceramic home-ware, tableware, bespoke designs and corporate gifts all made by hand in her studio "Stable Door Pottery".

Also, Bernadette has introduced us to Allan Chanou and his passion for Graphic Design. Allan is looking for an internship, so reach out if interested in some help.

IPBN partner at our recent Blue Economy conference Forum Oceano posted about "the Ocean of my future". This project, promoted by Fórum Oceano aims to sensitize secondary school students, particularly the 12th year, to the different sectors of the Blue Economy, stimulating interest in careers linked to the Sea.
