IPBN Partner at our recent Bule Economy conference, Ocean Azul Foundation posted last week that the Blue Bio Value Acceleration has just ended, with this year’s winners being Blue Oasis Technology Lda.FeedVax and Tekslo Seafood AS. The Oceano Azul Foundation is sending a thank you to all the startups who actively engaged with their acceleration team, and to their partners Bluebio Alliance, Blue Bio Value and Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.

IPBN member KRA Renewables announced that their Chief Executive Officer, Krystyna Rawicz and her colleagues in the SCSI - Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland recently drew up 10 tips to help people make their homes more energy-efficient and sustainable. Krystyna Rawicz shared these tips with The Irish Times.

IPBN member Deirdre Mc Gettrick from ufurnish.com says yhat Sustainability is a topic very close to her heart. With heightened discussions in recent weeks aligning with COP26, it gives Dierdre great pleasure to interview Claire Gaudion who creates rugs, fabrics and furnishings that are inspired by nature, and designed for a feel-good home, for her monthly business column with The i Paper.

IPBN member Daniel Coelho said that the downtown and historic centre of Porto are recovering investment. According to data from Confidencial Imobiliário, the Urban Rehabilitation Areas of Baixa and the Historic Centre of Porto recorded 286 transactions of acquisition of real estate in the first six months of this year, an activity that resulted in an investment of 86 million euros.

On that note, the IPBN was very disappointed to have had to postpone our Porto conference this week due to the new restrictions imposed by the Government here in Portugal since Wednesday, Dec 1. A new date will be announced once the situation becomes clearer.

IPBN member Dr. Catherine Hallahan posted that the winner of the Best Country in the World 2021 by Conde Nast Readers’ Choice Awards is Portugal, with Ireland in the 14th position. Força, Portugal, and kudos to Ireland!
