The 2nd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) will take place in Lisbon from June 27 to July 1. In parallel with the UNOC, there will be special events at the Port of Leixões Cruise Terminal, in Matosinhos, in Cascais, and at the Estoril Congress Centre, in Cascais. Let’s start this weekly members round-up with some great news from IPBN partner Susana Cardoso, Tourism de Portugal in Ireland who has a smile on her face! She said, "I just got tourism to Portugal figures for Q1 2022. And guess what? Overnight stays in Portugal from Ireland exceeded by 3,7% those of pre-pandemic Q1 2019. How great is that? Ireland: we are absolutely delighted to welcome you back to Portugal."

IPBN member KRA Portugal says that out of 377 applicants, Lisbon has been selected for as part of the European Commission's 100 Climate-Neutral and smart cities scheme in which they commit to becoming climate neutral by 2030. The cities were chosen based on the strength of their plans and their enthusiasm to achieve the target.

And Finnbar Howell of KRA Renewables is presenting Clean Energy for the EU Islands in Rhodes, Greece.
