A very Happy New Year 2023 to all our members and partners! Check out the IPBN's latest post here looking back at 2022.

Also, there was a special delivery to SOS Children's Villages Portugal from Konceptness! Wishing all a joyous and charitable new year and sending a huge thank you to all who helped us donate! The IPBN was very proud to support the project.

Also, we would like to take the opportunity to start the year with new Job Offers from our members on the IPBN Job Board. Furthermore, we would like to remind our members that at the start of the year, the European University and the IPBN have formalized a partnership protocol in the area of Tourism and Hospitality, which shows how important it is for the IPBN to build bridges between Top Universities and the business world in Portugal and Ireland. We will continue to expand this trend in 2023 for the benefit of our members! Ana Margarida Passos, Vice-Rector of the European University commented upon the signing of the protocol, "The level of knowledge that our students will have access to together from IPBN members will provide their academic background with unique skills that arise directly from the Tourism and Hospitality market. It is well known that this market is constantly changing so the partnership comes with a competitive orientation that our academic community values."

Lastly, our partner aicep Portugal Global let us know that The Economist ranked Portugal as the second best-performing economy in OECD in 2022!

IPBN member Upwords wished everyone all the best for 2023 with this small video about team spirit and joyful moments in 2022.

IPBN member Filipe Pereira from Crowdclass encourages you to embrace serendipity! "My favorite word is serendipity. It has this beautiful sound mixing something weird, fun, and inspirational all at the same time. But more than its sound, I love its meaning: finding good luck in unexpected and fortunate discoveries!"

IPBN member Strongstep took the opportunity to remember the highlights of 2022 and be thankful to all people that lived special moments with them. In 2022, they became members of Ireland Portugal Business Network and therefore participated in different events in Ireland and Portugal where they had the chance to meet different members that became friends.

IPBN member Otonomee is looking forward to 2023. They posted, "We believe it's also important to look back and celebrate our key milestones, achievements and our favorite memories as a team from 2022. Check out this week's blog to see our video highlights from the year."

IPBN partner Daniel Traça from Nova SBE thanked everyone for being part of Nova SBE’s incredible journey in 2022. Best wishes and an awesome 2023.

IPBN members Vilamoura World and Anne Darlington looked back on Vilamoura 27 years ago. "What has changed in the meantime? So much! But we want you to know everything from Anne who chose Vilamoura as her home and can't imagine living anywhere else."

IPBN member BRIDGE IN celebrated 400% growth in 2022! "Happy customers in 17 countries around the world. A lovely team of 12 wonderful human beings. We just can't wait for 2023 to come!"

IPBN member Aspire Technology welcomed the end of 2022. What a year it’s been! "We have grown our business significantly, recruited a lot of amazing new people, delivered some amazing projects to some amazing clients, and we are continuing this incredible journey that we started 13 years ago as a part of the NEC family. We wish you enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones, and we hope that the festive celebrations will infuse you with new energies, new dreams, and new hopes for the future."

IPBN member Agnieszka Kijonka from A1 Algarve wished everyone a happy new year from our family to you and yours! May 2023 bring you good health, success and wonderful times spent with friends and family who always make you feel at home.

IPBN member Emma Olohan posted that "after a long gap in live events with C-19, live events were back with a vengeance for the 2nd half of 2022, though getting experience and reliability in good people has been a huge challenge. I have been blessed in 2022 with those that surround me in the Irish Events Sector."

IPBN member Core Optimisation also wished everyone a happy new year from Core! "2022 was an exciting year for us. Between seeing our colleagues daily in the office again, new business ventures, amazing awards and nominations, personal achievements and just having fun!"

IPBN partner Sofia Almeida from Universidade Europeia posted, "At the end of the year, I share the last opinion piece of 2022 that deals with tourist destinations and data. I hope you like it. IPBN member KRA Portugal posted that the Decree-Law No. 84/2022 establishing Portuguese targets for the consumption of energy from renewable sources was recently published. It foresees several measures which outline the updates to the national targets for renewable energy in final energy consumption and the creation of a system for verifying compliance with sustainability criteria and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, amongst other concerns.

The Energy Efficiency solutions will be one of the themes discussed at this year’s IPBN Sustainability Conference in Lisbon March 17. SAVE THE DATE: Details to be announced soon.

IPBN member Konceptness shared advances in science and knowledge. They tell us that the expected lifespan has increased, but do we know how we really want to live? Sustainability, proximity, and accessibility are challenges when the topic is longevity. IPBN member Carolyn McKeown says that bookings are already open for International Women's Day, which will take place on Wednesday 8th March 2023 at Tribulum Restaurant, Almancil. Places are limited so early booking is advisable.

IPBN Partner UAlg says that knowledge is power. The first phase of applications for Master's and Doctoral degrees taught in English runs from 5 to 31 January 2023.
