In 2026, the Ireland Portugal Business Network is delighted to launch a brand-new event series, Conversations with a Leader, in partnership with IPBN member Writers Bloc, the community for independent journalism and publishing, and its CEO John Byrne.

Designed especially for our members, Conversations with a Leader is an intimate, one-to-one format that brings us closer to influential business and academic leaders. These conversations go beyond titles and success stories, focusing instead on lived experience: leadership journeys, decision-making, challenges faced, lessons learned, and the realities of building and leading organizations. Each session offers space not only to listen, but to reflect, exchange perspectives, and learn from those who’ve been there before.

Our first keynote conversation of the series will take place on Thursday, February 19, with two possible time slots: 10h30 - 12h or 16h30 - 18h30. While the venue and keynote speaker are still being finalized, we invite you to save the date now. The conversation will be recorded, last approximately 30 - 40 minutes, and conclude with a live Q&A.
