Part of the IPBN's mission and objective is also to help our members in Portugal grow their businesses and develop strategic partnerships with Irish companies. Therefore, the IPBN is organizing a four-day business trip of a group of IPBN Portuguese members to Cork City between Wednesday, June 21 and Saturday, June 24 where there will be plenty of opportunities for meetings and networking with Irish Start-ups, entrepreneurs, and SMEs from different sectors.

The agenda includes meetings with the Cork City Council, the Cork Chamber of Commerce, the Local Enterprise Ireland office, two Innovation Hubs (The Republic of work and the Culture Co-Working Space), a visit to Green Rebel and Hovione Pharmaceutical plant. And a dinner with IPBN members based in Cork with special guests.

You will find the full program below. All costs (travel, accommodation, subsistence, etc..) will be at each member’s expense. In terms of traveling, there are direct flights only from Faro to Cork (but expensive in June). So, we will fly to Dublin and take the Express bus from the airport, which runs regularly with Wi-Fi and is about 3.5 hours long. We have negotiated a special rate for IPBN members at The Metropole Hotel Cork. 

For maximum benefit, we are limiting the group to 10/12 members. If you can’t join this time, we will look at repeating the trip annually!

Please confirm your participation before end of the day Thursday April 20 when we will be able then to all book our flights and accommodation.

Day 1 – Wednesday June 21

AM - Ryanair Flight to Dublin. Then AirCoach (About €29 return) to Cork

• From Lisbon – 0650 – 0935 – About €90 return
• From Faro – 0830 – 1125 – About €115 return
• From Porto – 1330 – 1600 – We suggest our members from Porto to fly to Dublin from Lisbon.

PM – 6.30pm to 7.30pm

• Welcome from the Lord Mayor at the Cork City Hall 

EVENING – 8pm

• Dinner with IPBN members based in Cork and special guests

Day 2 – Thursday June 22

• Visit Green Rebel - Green Rebel was founded by environmental advocate and entrepreneur, Pearse Flynn, to provide an Irish based, complete offshore survey service, support offshore wind energy projects, and help Ireland achieve its climate objectives.
