As a follow-up to our annual St. Patrick's Day Sustainability Conference in Lisbon, the IPBN Algarve committee has decided to focus on Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15) or put simply, "Life on Land" by organizing a Review of Organic Farming, Forestry & Water supply in the Algarve at the Vila Vita Parc Resort and Spa.
The conference focused on reviewing organic farming, forestry, and the water supply in the Algarve, local products and producers, and what the local businesses and communities are doing to help foster growth and sustainability within the sector.
In partnership with Tourism de Algarve and Tourism of Portugal in Ireland, we hope to have gained a better understanding of what it means to enjoy the gastronomy and local products of the region. The IPBN showcased local producers and the farm and wine estate in Albernôa, Alentejo, Vila Vita’s Herdade dos Grous,
We were very pleased to also partner with the Tourism de Algarve to open the conference and welcome members and non-members.
