First, this week. Some interesting news following two of our main conferences this year: the Sustainability Conference in March and The Porto Conference in April:

GALP Portugal, IPBN guest speaker at the recent IPBN Sustainability conference in Lisbon – Lee Hodder, director of Strategy & Sustainability at Galp, responded to the challenge launched by IPBN (Ireland Portugal Business Network ) and was present at the third edition of the IPBN Sustainability Conference. His vision on the challenge of energy, markets, and the world until 2050, as well as, among others, the transition to clean energies, were some of the themes that animated the Noble Hall of the head office of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP). A theme to read on our Energiser platform (in Portuguese)

The Dublin City Council is delighted that Dublin city has been selected to join the European Commission Mission for 100 Climate Neutral & Smart Cities. It's an honor for them to be chosen. Congrats to Cork City on also being successful.

Global Shares celebrated the official launch of their new office in Porto – the City of the Bridges – and were main sponsors of the Ireland Portugal Business Network (IPBN) Porto Conference, on April 21st.    

The Port of Sines, Portugal, will see an investment of €1bn ($1.08bn) in order to develop a 500MW green hydrogen and ammonia production project aiming to support the transition to renewable energies.

From the Porto Business School now that we have launched the IPBN in Porto! Read this interesting article by Pedro A. The UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School Project Consultancy will be in Lisbon between June 6 and June 9. The School has contacted the IPBN to help them acquire a portfolio of client companies of any size and industry to submit a strategic project your company would like to see through on which a team of five MBAs will work for free. IPBN member Core Optimisation had a wonderful time at the Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to Lisbon last week led by Robert Troy - Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment. Matilde Blanc and Kieran O'Brien held a number of sales meetings facilitated by Enterprise Ireland with Portuguese companies wishing to transform their digital marketing output.
