The IPBN is proud to congratulate our valued educational partner, Universidade Europeia (UE), on the inauguration of its brand-new Oriente Green Campus in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações. Officially opened in the presence of the Minister of Education, Fernando Alexandre, this state-of-the-art 17,000-square-meter campus has the capacity to welcome up to 7,000 students, marking a new chapter in the institution’s remarkable growth.

More than just a physical expansion, the new campus is a testament to UE’s commitment to innovation, quality education, and research. “This space is the culmination of a dream and a development strategy,” said Rector Hélia Gonçalves Pereira. With new interactive classrooms, auditoriums, labs, and a multifunctional library, students will benefit from cutting-edge facilities designed to elevate both academic and professional experiences.

The Oriente Green Campus also reflects UE’s dual commitment: expanding in-person education while continuing to invest in distance learning. With 27 online programs already accredited and over 3,000 students enrolled remotely, UE is broadening opportunities for both young students and working professionals across Portugal and beyond. As the Rector emphasized, “Distance learning is a huge opportunity for growth, but also for promoting the qualification of professional adults.”

As one of Portugal’s leading private universities, Universidade Europeia has consistently shown itself to be a driver of excellence, forward-thinking strategy, and international collaboration. Geoffrey Graham, Chair of the IPBN was pleased to represent the network on this auspicious occasion and shared his well wishes and congratulations to mark the celebration. He said, "The IPBN is proud to stand alongside UE as a partner, celebrating this milestone and looking ahead to the many opportunities it will create for students, businesses, and the wider community."

On behalf of the entire network, we extend our warmest congratulations to Rector Hélia Gonçalves Pereira and her team on this inspiring achievement.
