After the signing of the Protocol between the IPBN and the Católica Porto Business School, the head of the Career and Development Office shared an exciting opportunity with the network that we are delighted to pass along to our members regarding the requirements for the UCP's curricular internships. Keep reading to find out more or to confirm whether yourself or your company fit the criteria of the mentoring entity for these bright, burgeoning businesspeople of tomorrow!

Internships as part of the Master's Final Assignment (MFA) - National or International:

Target: Master’s students in Management, Management Control, Service Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Auditing and Taxation, Business Economics.

Duration of internship: minimum of 4 months or 560 hours and maximum of 6 months, between September and February. 

  • Require an internship plan and a research topic proposed by the organization.
  • Internships must have a professional (in the organization) and academic (in the university) supervisor.
  • A qualitative assessment will also be requested at the end from the professional supervisor.

 Summer Internships - National or International:

Target: Undergraduate students in Economics and Management or double degree in Law and Management.            

Duration of internship: at least 6 weeks and 210 hours. Usually between July and August.

  • Requires an internship plan, professional supervision in the organization, and a qualitative assessment at the end of the internship.           

 Bachelor + Program - International only:

Target: Recent graduates from Economics, Management, or double degree in Law and Management.         

Duration of internship: minimum of 4 months or 560 hours and a maximum of 6 months, between September and February. 

  • Requires an internship plan, professional (in the organization) and academic (in the university) supervision, and a qualitative assessment at the end of the internship.
