The Ireland Portugal Business Network is proud to host the 4th edition of its Tourism Conference on October 22 at TUMO Portugal at the Unicorn Factory in Lisbon from 9h - 13h. This year’s event brings together leading voices from business, academia, and government to explore how the tourism sector in Ireland and Portugal is adapting to a rapidly changing world.

Roberto Antunes – Executive Director, NEST Innovation Tourism Centre
With more than 20 years of global experience in marketing, category management, and tourism leadership, Roberto Antunes heads Portugal’s NEST Innovation Tourism Centre. Since 2019, he has led NEST in promoting innovation and technology adoption throughout the sector, supporting entrepreneurship, experimentation, and digital transformation. His work connects Portugal to global tourism innovation, including partnerships with the UNWTO.
Francisco Dias – President, ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival
A full professor at Leiria Polytechnic with a PhD in Tourism Sciences, Francisco Dias brings a rich academic and cultural perspective to tourism. He is the Director of ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival and Vice-President of the Centro de Portugal Film Commission. His research spans destination branding, social psychology, and sustainable tourism, with a strong focus on the intersection of culture, film, and tourism promotion.
Susan Cabeceiras – IPBN Board Member & Founder, Konceptness
Architect, entrepreneur, and consultant, Susan Cabeceiras founded Konceptness, a leading consultancy in architecture, engineering, and environmental services. Her company has played a central role in securing approval for projects of national interest, including major international investments in Portugal. As an IPBN Board Member, Susan brings her deep knowledge of sustainable design and business consultancy to the conversation.
Together, these panelists will examine how business and hospitality leaders are responding to shifting market demands, leveraging research and creativity, and building innovative models for sustainable tourism growth.
