IPBN Master Class: Looking Ahead to 2026 – Academic and Business Perspectives

The Ireland Portugal Business Network was pleased to organise its last online Master Class of the year, featuring key academic and business innovation leaders from Portugal. This session explored major objectives, developments and events planned for 2026 across leading innovation hubs.

The Master Class took place Wednesday, December 17 from 10h to 11h on Zoom.

Our three guest speakers shared insights from their respective institutions, followed by a Q&A session open to all attendees. 

Speakers were:

• Porto Business School Innovation X Hub – Diogo Vieira da Silva, Head of Unit, Impact Centers, Innovation X Hub, Porto Business School
• UC Business – Nuno Mendonça, Vice-Rector, University of Coimbra
• UAlg TEC Campus – Jessica Costa, Executive Director, Algarve STP Association and UAlg TEC Campus

This Master Class provided valuable perspective on the opportunities and challenges ahead in 2026 across academia, innovation and business collaboration. It represented the final IPBN Master Class of 2025. You can listen to it here on the IPBN Spotify channel.
