The Canton Fair (also known as the China Import and Export Fair), first held in spring 1957 in Guangzhou, is China’s oldest, largest, and most comprehensive international trade expo. By the 126th session (pre-pandemic), the Canton Fair had achieved tremendous scale: USD 1.41 trillion in export turnover over its lifetime, attendance from nearly 9 million foreign buyers, and over 210 country/region participation. The Fair is hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce together with the Guangdong provincial government and organized by the China Foreign Trade Center."

IPBN member Kelly Harper from Algarve Care Services is delighted to introduce the winter awareness initiative, The Share Bear Campaign, a heartfelt community initiative dedicated to raising awareness about loneliness and the challenges faced by those living alone or living with dementia. "In preparation for the launch, we’re asking our wonderful community to join us in spreading kindness by donating clean, unwanted teddy bears. The bears need to be a minimum size of 15cm high up to apx 30cm. You can drop off your bears at any of our collection points, which are listed on our social media pages, Algarve Care Services on Facebook or Algarvecare247 on Instagram. For more information or to find your nearest drop-off location, please call us on 927 688 677. Bear collection deadline: 1st November 2025. We are also reaching out to local community groups, charities, and fundraising organisations who may wish to support this meaningful initiative.
