IPBN member, Britania Hotel elected best "Heritage & Design" Hotel at the Europe Awards 2019
The ceremony took place on November 17 in Vienna, Austria, where the winners were announced in the presence of hotel representatives, journalists and influencers.
The Heritage Hotels of Europe Awards aim to recognize the unique qualities that distinguish hotels and the commitment to providing quality service and excellence in 7 categories; Design, Wellness, Gastronomy, Hospitality, Culture, Romance and Host of the Year.
Heritage Hotels of Europe is a federation that represents properties and hotels from various countries in Europe, where they all share the history, heritage and tradition of each country. They are currently present in 13 countries in Europe.
Following our annual St. Patrick’s Day Sustainability conference, the IPBN was led on an exclusive tour of the Hub Criativo do Beato in Lisbon and Ombria resort grounds in the Algarve to do a deep dive into what these projects are offering toward a greener future and what steps they have taken to ensure sustainability stays a number-one priority.
In the Tourism and Events sector, two of our members noted that they were able to readjust their business models and build out their skillsets to fight the negative effects of social distancing, lockdowns, and closed borders on their businesses: United Events Global and Quinta dos Vales
Times are changing in the building sector, and those working on both sustainable (and other) projects need to be aware of what this will mean for the sector as a whole. Luckily, the IPBN is taking an in-depth look at these and other standards that are fast approaching in our second panel discussion.
