The Ireland Portugal Business Network (IPBN) is proud to announce a newly formalized partnership between the Algarve STP (Systems and Technology Partnership) and the Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC) in Dublin. The agreement was signed on June 17th at the GEC during the IPBN’s Dublin Innovation Conference—an event dedicated to fostering cross-border collaboration and entrepreneurial exchange. The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives, including Geoffrey Graham, Chair of the IPBN, Arnold Delville, IPBN General Manager, Niamh Collins, Centre Director of the GEC, and Jessica Costa, Executive Director at Algarve STP, who traveled from the University of the Algarve in Faro to officially sign the protocol.
Jessica thanked the IPBN saying, "Thank you for the invitation and for creating a space that will allow cross-border cooperation, knowledge exchange, and meaningful opportunities for startups from Algarve and Dublin!"
This strategic partnership reflects the IPBN’s ongoing commitment to building meaningful international connections during what we proudly call our "Year of Partnerships." By facilitating this agreement, the IPBN continues to serve as a bridge between Ireland and Portugal’s dynamic innovation ecosystems. We are excited to see how this collaboration will evolve and generate new opportunities for businesses, startups, and academic institutions on both sides. As summer begins, we celebrate this milestone and look forward to the impactful developments it promises.
