On Thursday, March 14th at 10h, we held another very exciting IPBN Masterclass with Rhia Murray, Learning & Development Consultant & Facilitator at Holos Leadership Foundation, introduced to the IPBN by IPBN member Brendan O'Neill, Leadership & Career Coach and Change Agent at Holos Change.

The Masterclass entitled "How Can Leaders Better Engage Millennials and Gen Z to Retain and Realise Their Potential?" covered a host of topics sure to enrich your business and understanding of generational divides. 

According to recent studies, Gen Z and Millennials currently make up approximately 38% of the global workforce and this percentage is predicted to rise to about 58% by 2030. These generations operate quite differently and have different expectations of the conventional leadership models. There is evidence that they are dissatisfied with the status quo of the way businesses are run, so how is this going to pan out? 

We found out how pivotal this issue is for leaders and what behaviors and cultural systems are needed for them to engage and succeed in nurturing this talent to ensure they are future-proofing organisations. We also discovered what defines these groups and what the key ingredients they need are while understanding how to better foster, retain, and grow them. 

The Master Class covered Gen Z with context and background on how they grew up and who they are, the stereotypes and reframing of the narrative, seeing Gen Zs as an opportunity rather than a problem, and hear practical examples of how to attract, engage, and retain them.
