Mário Gago is CEO and co-founder of Pink Room, a boutique mobile app development studio in Coimbra building iOS, Android and wearable products from concept to delivery. Born and raised in São Brás de Alportel, he keeps close ties to the Algarve's growing tech and startup scene, and holds a Master's in Informatics Engineering with a specialization in Software Engineering from the University of Coimbra.
He has been on the IPBN board since 2019, where he contributes on innovation and technology. In Coimbra he advises GO Coimbra, the city's investment and innovation agency, on developing the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, co-organizes Coimbra Founders Night, and is active in the city's developer and startup communities, as well as cultural and urban projects. He speaks regularly at tech and startup conferences, mentors early-stage founders, and sits on juries for startup and pitch competitions.
