Dearbháile has been a loyal member and supporter of the IPBN and was the first chair of the IPBN in the Algarve when it was first established in 2018 and part of the Algarve committee for five years. Despite being Irish, she is a fully qualified Portuguese lawyer.

After 12 years at a top-tier law firm, Dearbháile established her own practice in 2023 in the Algarve (Vilamoura), specializing in property and property related matters, including residency, estate planning and inheritance.
