It meant that Portugal reduced its carbon footprint by 10 million tonnes of carbon in 2023. However, the current energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine and inflation has pushed the wholesale price per hour of electrical energy on the Iberian market to €88.3/MWh.

IPBN member Vellozo Ferreira Advogados posted about the "Simplex" of urbanism, which in practice reforms and simplifies urban licensing processes. It was published on January 8 and adopts important changes to simplify and reduce context costs. Most of the measures come into force as early as March 4 this year. IPBN member Teresa Patricio & Associados shared information about Decree-Law no. 10/2024 of 8 January, which sets to implement one of the fundamental measures approved by the "Mais Habitação" (More Housing) legislation. "It aims to respond to the need to make more land available for affordable housing, but also simplifying procedures in the area of urban and country planning.
